Aoife, a West Cork native has been acting in theatre and film for almost twenty years. She studied theatre in Kinsale first and then at The Atlantic in New York City. A lover of travel, she has worked in film in places as far reaching as New Zealand, India, The US and Ireland. Her directorial debut was her short film Work (2021) which was screened at Bushwick Film Festival, Cork Film Festival, Fastnet Film Festival and New York Shorts. Since then, along with various acting projects, she has directed two official music videos for singer-songwriter DMac Burns, What Did We Create? (2023) and Night (2023).

 

She is currently whirling amidst the fields and ferns of Cill Eanna, Ireland; making herbal potions, weeding a garden, planning a wedding, wrangling her teeny daughter, Saoirse Abhainn and scheming with lover Danny McDonald about their next creative adventure.
